Those wouldn't be bad choices. In general I'd say go for companies that
advertise - that might sound like I'm just promoting companies that pay the
bills, but it makes sense. After all, if a company isn't advertising, you've
got to ask yourself why...

It varies from program to program. CF is a good example - PPC makes some
things a LOT faster than '060 and some things barely faster at all. Even with
the bottom end PPC card you should see a Quake framerate increase of 50-100%.

One thing to keep in mind GFX card wise is that a bvisionppc offers more than
just 3D acceleration. The bus bandwidth of the PPC local bus interface is
about 3 x that of the Ateobus, IIRC. This means that it is able to send
screen data significantly faster, and fill-rates become less of a bottleneck.
Not a problem when it comes to general GUI stuff, but it will slow down the
update speed of games noticeably.
